About Aidan Wyber
Aidan Wyber recently graduated from Integrated Product Design at TU Delft. He now wants to use his skills in industrial design to make new meanings. He wants to make the historical increase of existential nihilism in Western culture more tangible by suggesting new possible existential meanings in contrast. In Highlight ORACLE, Neoplatonic ideas like Unity, which were used to communicate philosophically and spiritually along the historical Silk Road are incorporated into the generative dataset, intending to provide these existential meanings in the form of yet un-realised artworks. “Oracle” alludes to the Delphic Oracle of ancient Greece, the Pythia, the high priestess of the Temple of Apollo. She would fall into trances, inhale unidentified fumes and speak in rhythmic metaphors to the inquiring citizens of Athens.
